Does Spark Notes really work?

  • Does Spark Notes really work if you haven't read the book or does it not help you at all?

  • It depends on how well you can fake it.

    Spark notes usually (depends on the book) gives a basic plot to the book. It also gives main characters and themes.
    Depending on your assessment you can wing it from here.
    If they want to know what are the main themes in the book or similar.

    But usually I'd have to say that people need to do a lot of other research if they haven't read the book. I'd read the book if at all possible.


  • It is helpful because by reading them you will know what the book is about but at the same time, it does not reveal the nitty gritty details so if your teacher looks carefully at details, it really won't help you out.


  • Well... Spark Notes helps a lot on knowing the themes and character behaviour and other things but if you haven't read the book and just look at spark notes you might not get the 80's you looking for.

    Also it depends on what grade your in cause if its like grade. Teacher don't mine to much in younger grades. JUST don't copy and paste ^_^
