What is the Navy's most shore-going rates?

that being said: SeaBees deploy.. a LOT. as in a 6 month deployment roughly every 18 months.. and CTIs also have the potential to deploy..a LOT..and they spend a LOT of time overseas and in some cases, family cannot go with you. and BOTH ratings will see underway time.. in the form of a deployment or transportation .
i cant think of any rate.. that wont go to sea. but there's a few where the shore billets far outnumber the sea billets..
something like a dental tech or a legalman .. (corpsmen DO go to sea)
bottom line is if you want to avoid sea duty.. the navy's not the best choice.. the BEST service for people.. is the air force.. the peopel that run the air force depend on their very lives on the work the enlisted people do to keep those aircraft flying.. they take care of their people.. by far the best people service.. 9-5 job.. etc.. almost no such thing as duty.. or 24 hour crap manning some ship somewhere.. every 4 days.. (on top of a normal 40-60 hour workweek) one year in the shipyards we worked 12 hour m-f .. and 8 hours on saturday.. then on top of that was 24 hour duty every 4 days.. we did that for a year straight.. that's the navy...
Umm... There's probably a few more, like HMs, but I can't really think of any right now...
