Tenzing Secures Terrestrial Network Through iPass

Seattle, Wash.-based Tenzing Communications Inc., a provider of connectivity solutions for business travelers, Tuesday secured an additional 12,000 Points of Presence (POPs) in 150 countries through an alliance with enterprise-grade remote access services provider iPass Inc.

The deal expands Tenzing's service offering to give users connectivity on the ground through iPass' terrestrial network, as well as in the air through Tenzing's airborne infrastructure. Travelers will now be able to dial local numbers in tens of thousands of cities in order to connect to e-mail, corporate applications and the Internet.

iPass currently offers dial-up and ISDN services, and will soon roll out broadband connectivity.
