my family and i are from England...and we have been living in america since 98'. my mom and i were talking today and we have been racking our brains out on how to change the speed on a video tape,so we can watch it. i was told that our tapes run slower than american vcr tapes. any help would be greatly appreciated. i would prefer a home remedy to change the speed if not any details about a business that can do this. i am in alabama and my mom lives in the killeen area in texas. thank you so much for the answersIf you have the remote control for this particular VCR there should be a function it that reads " speed" this should enable you to change from LP "long play to P "short play. If you do not have the remote then this function can be acquired through the menu function.You need to get a multi standard VCR, and have a multi standard TV likely (most modern LCDs or plasma sets are).
