Is this christmas a good time to invest in a PS3 or Xbox360? For two years I've stuck with my normal Xbox, but now I can't resist the considerably better graphics and other feature, but is now a good time to buy? Is microsoft or sony going to be updating their gaming consoles with any major features in the near future? Or is a PS4/Xbox720 anytime soon? Thanks!PS4 is gonna be a way off. next XBOX may come early within the next couple of years because the 360 is so crappy. But either way its still gonna be a few years off on both of them. Id say do what your wallet is telling you to do either way you wont be loosing anything because its still gonna be a while before another gen console comes outPS4 probably won't come out until 2012. The next X-Box won't come out until at least 2010 at the earliest.
You can always get it later when there's a price drop. If you're comfortable with spending the money to get a system, then by all means, get it. Each day that you delay, you're depriving yourself of playing a PS3 or 360 game.
You don't have to worry about the PS3 updating new features. So far, Sony has taken away backward compatibility and upgraded the hard drive. No big deal about the hard drive because you can buy a 2.5" internal laptop SATA 5400 RPM hard drive to replace the PS3's hard drive. The 360 also hasn't done that much either except for upgrading the hard drive.
Answering you last question first, i don't think we will be seeing a new console for several years. You should look into the prices that your local retailers are offering consoles for during their holiday sales, and get one then if they are satisfactory, or you can wait until after the holiday season, because prices will probably drop then.#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
