Seven days ancients assigned to a week,
A month has four of them in a row,
So why have we seven days to seek,
Many astrologers to this a mystery sows.
Because seven multiplied by four,
Does make 28, a Moons full round,
28th year places every one on the floor,
That makes life once again go all around.
The first day of the week is Sunday,
We recharge batteries of our mind,
And all do sun bathe that carefree day,
So the next seven days we neednâ ™t rewind.
The second day we ascribe to the Moon
And this enables all the night-watchmen,
To reach the places of site really soon,
Else they will get additional duties also seven.
The next day is one granted to planet Mars,
For the fighting spirit it does maintain,
Ere its Wednesday the planet Mercury,
Our mind does always as ever contain.
Thursday is a day of planet Jupiter,
This does display a circle of rings.
And all broad minded folks do flatter,
Since all Jupitarians do pull many a string.
Friday is a day of exquisite beauty,
A poets haven, a lovers retreat,
For planet Venus let it be a treaty,
Since to all humanity, loving is a treat.
Then by far the lonely dear Saturn,
Is also a planet of real isolation?
It has its own slow moving pattern.
So it is well known as planet of limitation.
But do you know why we have only seven?
We stare at the Great Bear in the heaven,
There are as you know stars only seven,
Thatâ ™s why a week does not have eleven.

Unnecessary words here and there, some rhymes are 'forced', but, then again, so are some of mine!
Good, good start. You clearly have a solid core meaning here. Pare it, sprinkle sugar and butter, and OMG! What a delectable poem it will be!
