» My story- advice and no judgmental comments.?I am nearly 17 and have two children. Jacob Matthew (26 months) and Isabella Elizabeth )10 months) As you can tell by my children's names I am deeply Christian and do not believe in Contraception or condoms. My parents were my rock and have pushed me in my faith to believe that every child is a miracle that God sent. (Although they did have some concerns that I was sexually active at fourteen.) We attend Church every Sunday and my children are very happy and well looked after. 8 months ago my father perished in a terrible fire - but three weeks later I discovered i was expecting. I felt this was a gift from my Dad. I went into a deep depression but I pulled through for the sake of my unborn babies. (Yes my dad sent Twins) a girl and a ...... - 2009-07-04
» USA: Flu Shot Surpluses/Supply
Too Much Medicine Flu Shot Surpluses Across Nation Could End Up in Trash By STEVE GROVE Jan. 19, 2007— - Last year at this time, Dr. James Nordin had run out of flu vaccines. This year, the Health Partners Medical Group in St. Paul, Minn., where Nordin is a pediatrician has 3,000 unused doses that are headed to the Dumpster if more patients don't take them. And Minnesota isn't the only place overstocked with the shots. Though the flu season has yet to hit many parts of the country, doctors at several clinics in the U.S. are struggling to get people to take the vaccine. "Once Christmas comes, people no longer think about flu shots," says Nordin. Public health officials say that a delay in production, problems in the distributio...... - 2009-07-04
» Who is willing to put their life on the line for a person, cause, or belief system if it came down to that?
Please state that cause, and identify that person or belief system if it exists and why.I am. I would try to save my family members, or even a helpless person in some cases. I already have as well. I would die to keep my country free. If I thought I was keeping my country free, I would die for it. PEACE!!For my family and friends yes. However, a cause or belief system no. I think that it is a contradiction to lay your life down for a cause, as if you are so 'pro' something, surely it is better to spread the word of the cause, try to show people the reasons why you believe so strongly in it. If you are to die for it, then you can no longer show people these reasons... thus making your utter belief in it redundant? There ar...... - 2009-07-04

» Pricing Question?
Okay, so let me get this straight. Couple of questions: - If I bought an Owned License from vBulletin, would I get to download the software itself, and get a license? - I will get the software forever, this is only a one time payment? - And would I get free updates from vB, when there is a new version? - For $160?bump. sorry but could someone please clear this up for me a bit. its really important. ;)Dude, you waited 14 minutes. You get to run one copy of vBulletin forever with the owned license. You get one year's worth of updates. To renew this "subscription," it's $30 per year. There will probably be at least one update/upgrade within your first year, but you can renew at any time after it expires. You can still access the members' a...... - 2009-07-04

my family and i are from England...and we have been living in america since 98'. my mom and i were talking today and we have been racking our brains out on how to change the speed on a video tape,so we can watch it. i was told that our tapes run slower than american vcr tapes. any help would be greatly appreciated. i would prefer a home remedy to change the speed if not any details about a business that can do this. i am in alabama and my mom lives in the killeen area in texas. thank you so much for the answersIf you have the remote control for this particular VCR there should be a function it that reads " speed" this should enable you to change from LP "long play to P "short play. » Nikkor 50-200 VR and 50-200
I heard that the non-VR 55-200 produces a better picture quality as when you switch on the VR button, somewhat it reduces the quality of the picture. Is it true? Cause I'm planning to buy oneI have shot both. The VR version of the lens is superior in every way. Here's another person's opinion: http://www.bythom.com/55200lens.htmNo, and yes. VR moves one of the lens elements. That lens element is there regardless so no quality difference results for different glass or anything like that. The only things that can happen is that there's not enough motion to correct. In these cases the VR often stuffs up and adds motion. So if you use a tripod, turn it off....... - 2009-07-04

» Looked everywhere for a definitive answer but..?
I know this question is asked thousands of times all over the internet, but no matter where i look i cant find a straight answer: Will my medical records be checked when applying for the royal marines, without reason? I have very mild asthma which will probably stop me from joining, however i don't need inhalers, and take part in hard physical sports regularly. I just want a chance to complete the training and i know the asthma won't hold me back. So if i just keep this to myself will i be found out? I worked in a recruiting office for a while and yes they will write to your GP. To be honest you cant say you wont be affected by asthma as you've never worn a respirator and RM training is likely to be far more extreme than a...... - 2009-07-04

» 5D help
Hey guys Looking at getting the canon 5D. would if you could help me out. Right i currently have the 350D. I would mainly want it for sports would it be suitable. The bloke in jessops said that i would have to use L lenses is this true. Cheers :thumbup:No you don't have to use L lenses. If you want to get maximum quality, you would want to, but you don't "have" to. As for sports, it only shoots up to 3fps. It does have a large buffer, but that's not a very high frame rate for sports. You'd be better off getting a 1D MKII, which will give you 8.5 fps.so whats the diffrence between the mkII and the mkIInI don't really know. Looking at a side by side on dpreview.com, the only difference is that the N has a 1/2 " bigger LCD :p I'm sure ...... - 2009-07-04

Wait a few years to start a union that will hopefully last for 80 and you'll both be better off for it.You may not marry at age 15 in the U.K. You may marry at age 16 with written parental consent but check with your local registar's office: http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/marria... Keep in mind it may take time for your fiance to file the appropriate visa paperwork and have it approved. So you may be age 16 (or older) anyway before she makes her way across the pond. Generally it's the same in the U.S. - but you/she will need to check with the court...... - 2009-07-04
» Think Road Safety Ad?
Has anyone from the uk seen the road safety ad where the women says "It wasn't his body hitting the dash that killed him", "it was his organs hitting his rib cage causing it to break and pierce his lung and main artery that killed him". Now thinking about it if you were wearing a seat belt you'd decelerate faster cause there is more resistance and therefore your organs would still break your rib cage... So when he plunged into the airbag surely he would decelerate slower therefore he'd be less likely to die. I think the people that make road safety ads really need to look at the real world physics of things. Just wondering, has anyone else noticed that the road safety ad's are always incorrect in some way.i remember one ...... - 2009-07-04

» Roger Federar or Rafeal Nadal?
100% Rafa!!!! he is such a good player Vamos Rafa Roger FedererRoger Federer, of course. Simply because he is the best. Almost every tennis player recognizes his greatness, including Nadal, Murray, Roddick, Davydenko, etc. Nadal is also great, but in a lesser degree. But he is still young, so he has all the time in the world to possibly achieve what Roger already has. Nadal, because he can win on any surface. Federer can't win on clay.Rafael Nadal ;-) He is the best ever !!I like both players equally, but I would say Roger Federer, although Rafael Nadal prevails in their head-to-head record, 12:6.Definitely Rafeal NadalRafael Nadal... :) his arm muscles... and he is number 1 in the worldRogerfedererRafa! » What do atheists consider to be their ultimate purpose in life to be?
we have 80-100 years...then cease to exist in the atheists view...are you equally as purposeful of all nature...the tree that is cut down used for firewood, the deer who gets hunted for food, the whale that swims in the ocean...etc...do you consider your purpose in life no more or less important than other "evolved" things in nature...I have no "ultimate purpose". Right now, I am raising my kids and writing and drawing. In a year or so, I'll go back to school. In a few years, I'll go back to work. In the meantime, my family often travel to other countries at least once a year. We want our kids to experience as much of the world as possible before they set off on their own paths. I own 4 Jetter's and many, many snakes and I am a firm believer that snakes are great for hard stoppages rags roots etc and water jetting is for soft stoppages such as grease and sand and soil and scouring grease packed lines to restore full flow. One sales rep tried to sell me a root cutter on my big Jetter (3010) and I said great BUT how do you put water in reverse when the root cutter gets caught? He packed up and left my office.. I know if the 11/4 cable or even the 3/4 cables get tangles I can play games by reversing and going forward etc Water does not give me this option. get from levels 1-5 in one year? get from levels 5-8 in one year? get from levels 8-10 in one year? You may very easily skip the first few levels, especially if you have basic tumbling skills. Levels 1-3 are VERY basic so if you have some kind of background you could easily find yourself in level 5 after a year. Levels 5-87 are pretty much the biggest jumps. Once yo get the skills for level 8, its a matter of tuning it up, like getting a full to a double full, etc.its deffinitly possible i have 12 years experience, ima level10 if you wok hard enough you can do it but it is very difficultprobably not but it depends on how much you go to the gym and if youre good at it. i just started gymnastics 3 months ago and the teacher is already...... - 2009-07-04

» English and Portuguese Teachers in Japan
Hi. I'm seeking advice from teachers in Japan, for some friends of mine who just finished their course recently and are certified in teaching Portuguese, and English as a foreign language. The problem is that around here, in Portugal, the Universities don't take in account if a job market is saturated, when they created new courses, so they graduate people in large batches and right now things are bad if you are a teacher in Portugal. So I have this two friends, who are sisters, that are currently unemployed and they have a fascination about Japan and during a conversation with them I asked them why not try a offshore adventure, like for instance, in Japan? They got a bit interested but they don't have any knowledge of how to go about...... - 2009-07-04
» stylesheet stops working
good morning all, I'm having a reoccurring problem with a section of a site that I'm working on, and more specifically, for a guestbook page that has it's dynamic text styled via css. Oddly, it will work for a couple of days, and suddenly, I'll notice the text is plain and black. When I look at the "styles.css" file on the server after all's gone awry, there seems to be some extra whitespace w/n the file itself. Overwriting this file with the backup clears up the problem. But this, of course, still leaves me uploading a fresh copy of the "styles.css" file every other day. Anyone find a way to tackle this obstacle, or am I just overlooking something? thank you in advance, and happy 07! :-)I just noticed that I was passing "success" i...... - 2009-07-04

» Pilots: Float Planes?
What are some names of any float planes with an old-fashioned reciprocating engine? Almost any aircraft can be fitted with floats if you have enough money. Some common aircraft are 172, 182, 185 from Cessna; the Beaver, Otter, Twin Otter from DeHavilland; the Norseman from Noorduyn, Cub from Piper; and even the Beech 18 from of course Beechcraft. As for the previous poster stating there are only reciprocating aircraft on floats, they are incorrect. » I have a sweet cat, and a terror?
My husband and I adopted our female cat Momo around march of this year. Momo was 10 weeks. She was pretty timid, both my husband and I have had cats in our lives and so she seemed timid compared to the average cat.She was always very sweet though, she never clawed at you or bit you or anything of the sort. Than around August we thought lets just get one more. We got our male kitten Appa. He was absolutly adorable, and affectionate. He was about 6 weeks old at the time. I know that that is probably the stem of his problems. Anyways long story short Appa is a terror. It started out that he really didn't claw or bite us, but he constantly bit and clawed Momo. It of course was always playful, but Momo would always meow angrily, but bei...... - 2009-07-04

» Gram Staining
Can Gram Staining be done from a Selective Media?Hi microgupta, Gram staining can be done on almost anything - tissue, sputum, blood, urine, liquid media, solid agar media, etc.! Selective media simply inhibits growth of organisms that you *don't* want! I don't know exactly what kind of selective media you are speaking of...but I often Gram stained organisms from Thayer Martin, PEA, HE, and TSA slants, all selective media. What might be difficult to do would be to subculture an organism from selective media to another media...say a broth. You might take inhibiting substances from the selective media onto the new media. An important step when selecting a colony on the selective media for Gram stain, is to use your loop, or...... - 2009-07-04

I'm writing a 6-8 page essay paper on sherman's march. What main points should I include in my essay?Sherman's March to the Sea followed his successful Atlanta Campaign of May to September 1864. He and U.S. Army commander, Lt. Gen. Ulysses S. Grant, believed that the Civil War would end only if the Confederacy's strategic, economic, and psychological capacity for warfare were decisively broken. Sherman therefore applied the principles of scorched earth, ordering his troops to burn crops, kill livestock, consume supplies, and destroy civilian infrastructure along their path. This policy is often considered a component strategy of total war. The recent reelection of President Abraham Lincoln ensured that short-term politi...... - 2009-07-04
